BOARD AND ADVISORY SPOTLIGHT

Michelle Bass – Secretary of Board of Directors of Hope Harbor CDC

Michelle Bass recently retired as a Senior Project Manager for the Maryland Department of Housing & Community Development after 17 years. In this role, she administered Federal and State grants through the Division of Neighborhood Revitalization, focusing on poverty, homelessness, and serving low-income individuals and families. Michelle is a long-time parishioner at Saint Bernardine’s Catholic Church and has been actively involved in BUILD (Baltimoreans United in Leadership Development). She has resided in the Allendale Community in Baltimore for 40 years and grew up in the Edmondson Village neighborhood in Baltimore

Kyle Leggs – Hope Harbor CDC Advisory Board

Kyle Leggs is a City Planning Supervisor at the Baltimore City Department of Planning, where he has worked for 26 years. He has extensive experience in Transportation Planning, Capital Budgeting, and has spent the last 15 years as a Community Planner and Southwest District Planner, representing neighborhoods that Hope Harbor CDC seeks to serve. Kyle has authored several community plans, notably the Urban Renewal Plan for the Uplands Community. He is currently serving as an advisory board member for Hope Harbor CDC, contributing to the organization’s efforts to bring positive changes and resources to the community.

David Mountain – Vice President of the Board of Directors of Hope Harbor CDC

David Mountain has lived in the Ten Hills neighborhood in Baltimore for approximately 30 years and has been a member of Saint Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church for most of that time. He has been actively involved in various Christian Education, Youth, and Outreach Programs, serving on the Vestry and as Junior and Senior Warden. David is currently the Co-chair of the Outreach Committee at St. B’s. In the community, he has served on the board of the Friends of the Enoch Pratt Free Library – Edmondson Branch and volunteered extensively at Thomas Jefferson Elementary/Middle School. David was also a member of the Founding Board of Hope Harbor and looks forward to serving again.

ARTICLE ON BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT

Hope Harbor CDC is delighted to announce its recent partnership with the Parent Teacher Organization of Baltimore International Academy West Charter School for the BIA West Spring Beautification Project. Together with students and local community members, we embarked on a collaborative effort to enhance the school’s campus by planting flowers and greenery. This project not only beautifies the environment but also fosters community spirit and engagement among students and residents alike.
